Here is my exemplar for AF1.2:
1.) Write down the problem
(-7 - 8)5
2.) Distribute the 5 to both sides
-35 + -40
3.) Combine like terms
-75
4.) Check your work
(-7 - 8)5
(-7 + -8)5
-35 + -40
-75
