420 Acres

x+y<420

y=-1/6+12.51

$1,000/acre-Cotton

  $3,000/acre-Pistachios

1000x + 3000y < 2000(420)

Task 3

Part 1:

Fertilizer Inequality

300x + 400y < 142,800

Explanation- we have 420 acres of land, so to get the maximum amount of fertilizer we would multiply the number of acres we have by the amount of fertilizer they would give us, and 300x( x being acres of cotton) and 400y( y being acres of pistachios) are part of the inequality needed for the amount of fertilizer.

Part 2:

Water Inequality

2x + y < 714

Explanation: we have 420 acres of land, so to get the maximum amount of water we would multiply the number of acres we have by the amount of water they would give us, and 2x(x being cotton) and y( being pistachios) are part of the inequality needed for the amount of water.

Task 4

x < 336

y < 252

Task 5

P=profit

500x+1000y=P

Task 6

Point, 140,252

Lines: fertilizer inequality and possible pistachio acreage

Task 7

13.272 gallons of 12% Glyphosate

146.328 gallons of 54% Glyphosate

Task 8
